LX Team Rock Tournaments!

Congratulations to all students that participated in the last tournaments in Houston and Dallas.  Composed by members from Edmond and Tulsa, OK and Sugar Land, TX, the team brought home more than 30 medals home from the last two tournaments.

Everyone did great and brought pride to our association.  Thanks to all of you for your effort and keep up the good work!

Labor Day Weekend Schedule!

The LX Jiu-Jitsu School of Sugar Land, TX will be closed from August 30th (Saturday) through September 1st (Monday). Classes will resume as usual begining September 2nd.  We look forward to seeing you back on the mat!

LX Seminar Series a great success!

3rd Annual National LX Jiu-Jitsu Association Gathering on November 8th and 9th!

Last year's Association Gathering was a huge success. With the presence of Leo's Master Royler Gracie joining us it was one of the best gatherings to date.  LX Association members from Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and other locations got together to celebrate its' success in 2007 and to promote its' students to new rank.

Becuase of last years success, this year's gathering will be TWO days of fun!!

-Saturday Nov 8th, The LX Team will be competing in full force where we will test our skills we have being practicing over the past year in hopes of a great performance.

-Sunday Nov 9th, the team will celebrate all of the association's success in 2008.  During this time the team will gather for pictures, awards, belt promotions and barbecue.  Sunday's event will be held at the Sugar Land school.

Please join us in this 2 day special event.  You will have a great time with great people and make some new friends for life!

LX Seminar in Houston and Brian, TX!

2nd Annual National LX Jiu-Jitsu Association Gathering with Special Guest Royler Gracie is Huge Success!

Around 100 people were present at the 2nd Annual National LX Jiu-Jitsu Association Gathering which was held November 4th, 2007 in Houston, Texas at the LX Jiu-Jitsu headquarters. 

Students from all of the LX Jiu-Jitsu Association schools in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana participated in the opening cerymony and the belt ans stripe promotions. 

Royler Gracie came straight from Brazil to be a special guest at the gathering and to teach seminars and private classes for the first time in Texas.  Royler's classes were well received by the students and his words at the gathering about Leo and the LX Jiu-Jitsu Association were inspiring.

The LX Jiu-Jitsu Association has grown tremendously in 2007.  BJJ is growing in popularity in the United States and Texas.  Leonardo Xavier, the head instructor and the president of the LX Jiu-Jitsu Association is greatfull to everyone in the BJJ community who is making a positive contribution.  Leo, in behalf of the LX Jiu-Jitsu, presented awards to Royler Gracie and his father Helio Gracie in recognition of their longlife commitment to Jiu-Jitsu.  Other students were also awarded in recognition of their outstanding contributions Jiu-Jitsu and the LX family. 

"I'm happy for welcoming one of my instructors, mentors and friends for the first time in Texas.  It was a big goal to all Texas BJJ community to have a legend like Royler teaching in Texas for the first time.  I would like to thank everyone that helped and supported this special event.  It was very special to see my instructor and my students happy with the development of the LX Jiu-Jitsu Association.  I look forward to seeing you at the 2008 gathering!"
